Deutsch: Head-Crash einer Seagate-Festplatte (Modell ST3750640AS). Die Festplatte wurde in einem RAID5-Array betrieben und nach dem Crash aufgrund fehlerhafter Monitoring-Einstellungen noch ca. 6 Monate weiterbetrieben. durch den initialen Head-Crash auf einem der weiter unterliegenden Platter (nicht am Bild) wurde der Headstack in die Parkposition im inneren des Plattenstapels bewegt und hatte dort Kontakt zu den Plattern. Durch die hohe Drehzahl und den langanhaltenden Kontakt wurde der oberste Platter fast zur Hälfte der Materialstärke durchgeschliffen und der Lesekopf um mehrere mm gekürzt.
